Description

Situated along the Brooklyn-Queens border, Knollwood Park Cemetery now has over 17,000 interments and is the last Jewish cemetery developed in the New York City’s five boroughs. Most of the cemetery is divided into plots with a family stone marking the plot and flat markers for individuals.

In October 2008 Knollwood Park Cemetery was acquired by Mount Carmel Cemetery. It is now referred to as the Knollwood Park section of Mount Carmel Cemetery, the large Jewish cemetery located in nearby Glendale, Queens, and today is operated as a division of Mount Carmel.
